I am Tim Radney, and I’m one of Kandio’s go-to people for SQL Server and Azure SQL.

After working with Microsoft SQL Server for over a decade, I began to shift my attention to Azure with a focus on Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance. I’ve developed courses on Pluralsight and teach in-person classes to help others gain an understanding of what’s new.

Through my blog, writing articles, and presenting remote User Group sessions, I’ve been able to share my experiences with Microsoft Data Platform technologies with people from all over the world. Your business can tap into my extensive knowledge and find your next SQL Server or Azure SQL expert through Kandio’s.

Experience and Achievements

My Experience

I’ve been working with SQL Server since SQL Server 6.5 in 1998. In 2008, I made the decision to focus exclusively on Microsoft SQL Server and became a full-time DBA for the financial organization I was working with. In a short time I became the manager of the production DBA team and was ultimately responsible for 1000’s of production databases and over 100 production instances of SQL Server. In 2015, I left the financial institution to join the team at SQLskills and became a Principal Consultant helping customers around the world solve performance issues, build out HA/DR solutions, plan cloud migrations, and just about everything else SQL Server related. I hold a number of Microsoft and other industry certifications and have been awarded the Microsoft Data Platform MVP award for the past 6 years. I’ve written books on SQL Server, recorded numerous courses on Pluralsight, teach in-person classes, speak at world renowned industry conferences, and share my experience in blog posts. SQL Server enthusiasts are new learners are in great hands since I am part of a team of SQL experts who are also Gold Data Platform partners.
